Palette Perfection

I’ve been on a serious palette revival recently! I’m a massive lover of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes and so I’ve always stuck to using them but more recently I’ve been eyeing up some new palettes that have hit the beauty counters, and well… I couldn’t resist.

1. Too Faced – Natural Eyes

I love warm, natural eye makeup in the Autumn/Winter, so when in Sephora in Miami I came across this new palette by Too Faced, and thought it was quite perfect!! I rarely buy Too Faced products anymore because you can’t always find them here the UK, but I’ve always loved their eye makeup. The quality of the eye shadows, whether matte or glittery, is really good and long lasting. The shadows are highly pigmented and its such a flexible palette, the shades can suit any skin and hair tone. I’ve also found that the shimmery shades are slightly creamy, so there really is no fall out. Win!

2. MAC – Keepsakes: Eyes, Plum

MAC have done it again with another limited edition range. I was in Cancun airport, Mexico when I saw my beloved MAC store, and saw the gorgeous Heirloom Mix display. I loved it all! The lipsticks, the eye pencils and even the packaging! I saw these palettes and firstly fell in love with the casing!! They are really vintage and unique-looking, which made them all the more appealing. I picked the plum palette as I already have some similar shadows as the those in the other two palettes, and with purple shades with names like ‘Taupeless’ and ‘Noctumelle’, I just really wanted to try these different variations of my favourite colour purple! As with all MAC shadows, the quality is gorgeous. There was one thing I was disappointed with though… and that was the brush. It doesn’t really pick up that much colour and doesn’t apply well.

3. Laura Mercier – Holiday ’14 Smoky Suede Eye Colour Palette

I couldn’t conclude my palette haul without going for a smoky eye palette, and this new Christmas Limited Edition palette is to die for. I love the combination of both a matte and shimmery black shade, giving you the option for a classic smoky eye look, or a more shimmery smoky eye for the festive season. You can create the perfect smoky eye with these creamy, pigmented shades, including using the cream shade on the brow bone, and inner corner of the eye. This is a perfect palette for Christmas, and a classy little stocking filler that can fit in any handbag.

Have you tried these palettes?

Merry Christmas!

Love Nimisha

xoxo

These all look so dreamy! I think if I had to choose I’d like the Too Faced palette x
