4 Easy Summer Hairstyles

That hot weather lasted just about as long enough for me to do this post!! So before the summer really does leave us, I have four really quick and easy hairstyles for you that will take no more than 5 minutes each!

Beach waveshairstyle 1

Super simple beach waves are a classic summer style. Personally I tend to go pretty natural with my makeup in the summer and I follow that through my my hairstyles. Beach waves are really easy to create, you can use a curling wand or even a straightener. Take medium to thick sections of your hair and wrap them around your curling wand, hold for a few seconds and release them and repeat on the rest of your hair. I usually finish the style with a bit of hairspray to keep the waves but before starting you can even run some texturising gel through your hair. Another way to create this look is by loosely plaiting sections of your hair, and running your straightener down each plait several times.

Mini-Milkmaid Braidshairstyle 2

This hairstyle can be done on any style of hair, I’ve created mine on wavy hair. To create this mini milk braid look, section your hair to leave one smaller section right at the bottom of your head, and clip the remaining hair up to keep it out of the way. Using the bottom section, split that into two and braid each section, tying the ends of each when finished. Once you have your two braids, lift them over and around your head (wrapping both around your head) and they should cross over on top of your head. Place one braid underneath the other and use a bobby pin to secure it (you are hiding the hair tie of one braid) and then also pin the other side of the braid onto the head. By creating two braids, this mini milkmaid braid can be created on any length of hair. Let the rest of your hair down, and there you have it!

The Fishtail Braidhairstyle 3IMG_4156edit

To create a fishtail, bring all you hair to one side and separate into two sections. To create a fishtail, take a strand from one section and pass it to the other section, and then repeat this for the next section going back and forth keeping it tight all the way. Once you have secured the braid you can loosen it by pulling at it gently outwards (as shown) to get a more relaxed braid. Finish with some hairspray.

Classic High Ponytail
hairstyle 4Super super simple this one is and could probably take you about a minute. Gently backcomb or tease the top layer of your hair and apply some hairspray to hold it. Gather all your hair together and then pull out a medium-thick section of hair from the bottom of your head. Bring the rest of your hair up into a high ponytail and secure it. Grab the section you left behind and wrap that around your hair tie and secure with a bobby pin. An even easier thing to do is to not pull out the section of hair but just tie all your hair up and secure it and then take a section from the ponytail and wrap that around the hair tie! Easy!

Hope you like my simple summer hairstyles!
