I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas with family and friends. Whatever you celebrate during the holidays, it’s an opportunity to be happy, spend time with your loved ones, relax and eat loads!! I certainly had a lovely Christmas and am now looking forward to the New Year!
Everyone who knows me, knows I love to shop. However, I like a leisurely hassle-free shopping experience where I’m not picking my items off the floor or battling with the girl opposite me for the last pair of shoes on the shelf, nor will I be found queueing in the freezing cold from the early hours just to be the first through the shop door!! I am no Boxing Day shopper I’m afraid, instead I quite like the idea of sitting in front of the TV watching the Boxing Day footy, with a cuppa in the warmth (preferably in my onsie), with my laptop and credit card to hand whilst I hit the online sales. I actually tend to find so much more online shopping than I do when I step out, so I’ve made it my tradition to do it every year! Here is my 2014 guide to online Boxing Day shopping.
Clothes and Shoes
It’s no surprise that my favourite high street and online fashion sites are my first port of call when I start my shopping and I often find my best things at the following sites:
ASOS – Absolutely cracking deals on boots and heels.
Now that I’m a working girl, work clothing seems essential every time I go shopping and I even now look at everything I like with ‘can I wear this to work?’ in mind. I work in a corporate environment so I have to dress relatively smart-casual, so for blouses, skirts and trousers, Mango and Zara are my go-to spots. I have to admit, I LOVE a Zara sale, and some of my best bits in my wardrobe, I’m proud to say are some Zara sale steals, particularly the shoes!
Bags and accessories
There are only two places that I normally look for accessories and bags and thats Topshop and Accessorize. I have bought some absolute beauties from past Accessorize sales, mainly bags, as the prices really drop! And I would say that about 90% of the jewellery I own has been bought in a Topshop sale!!
I actually prefer going in to a large Next store and going into the homeware section to find things. I’m in love with Next home stuff, and in the sale, their items often go down by 75%. Brilliant.
The White Company for that added luxury.
I hit the SpaceNK site immediately!! My favourite unique and luxury brands drop their prices right down.
My ‘Best of the Beauty Products’ includes:
Baked Eye Colour Quad by Laura Mercier – gorgeous metallic palette which can be applied dry or wet for different looks.
Eye Canvas Flax EC2 by Laura Mercier – price halved in the sale for this perfect eye base.
