For the first time ever I attended London Fashion Weekend… and it was kinda cool! I haven’t been to Somerset House in absolutely ages, and I forgot just how gorgeous the place is. Not only that, but I love walking up and down The Strand. Despite the chilly weather, we walked around the venue looking at all the fantastic designer offerings, deciding what to buy! Two things I was totally eyeing up… fur and leather. I saw some gorgeous fur coats and these mini leather rucksacks which I was lusting over.
My friend Melisa and I, traipsed on down to Somerset House grabbing a much needed Starbucks on the way- it was not warm! And of course we got a little snap-happy and people were staring, which makes me so nervous, but it comes with the territory of blogging I guess, and I need to get used to it! When we turned the corner for Somerset House, I could already see hoards of fabulously dressed people, and of course was starting to feel nervous. I feel like you can’t go there with just any old outfit, and some people were really kitted out. Nonetheless the look I was aiming for was actually inspired by Victoria Beckham’s New York Fashion Week collection which included a lot of creams and whites, particularly knits. I paired my jumper and faux-leather culottes with black sandals and a big fedora hat, my big Zara coat and Michael Kors Tote. I felt quite chic… more so than my usual casual look of jeans, boots and a jumper! So here are some of my snaps!
We then stopped off a the beautiful Waldorf Astoria for some tea… was only necessary.
